Nero di Troia Puglia I.G.T. Legend has it that, upon his return from the Trojan War, the mythical Greek hero Diomedes sailed the Adriatic Sea until he reached the River Ofanto, where he anchored his ship with some stones from the Trojan fort. Finding the place pleasant and fertile, Diomedes decided to plant the vine shoots he had brought with him as a souvenir from the distant city of Troy. And this is how Nero di Troia came to grow in Apulia.
